An aggressive approach to family law with a proven track record.Brittany N. Salyars
Attorney
Brittany N. Salyars grew up in eastern Iowa and received her Bachelor of Communication with a Minor in Politics and Law from the University of Northern Iowa. She then attended Drake Law School, where she earned her law degree and graduated with honors. While in law school, Brittany was a member of the Drake Law Review, first as a Junior Staff member and later as an Article Editor. Brittany’s Student Note, Surrogacy and Parental Rights: A Need for Uniformity in the Law, was selected for publication in Drake’s online law journal, Discourse, in 2018. Brittany also practiced as a Student Attorney at Drake’s Children’s Right’s Clinic for two semesters, representing children as their Attorney and Guardian ad Litem in abuse and neglect cases.
Brittany practices primarily in the areas of personal injury and family law (including dissolution of marriage and child custody actions). Prior to joining Hope Law Firm, Brittany spent several years practicing at a general civil litigation firm, representing clients in various family law matters. She also represented defendants in personal injury and workers’ compensation cases, which required her to work closely with the defendants’ liability insurance companies to evaluate claim exposure and analyze potential defenses. In light of her prior experience as a defense attorney, Brittany has unique insight regarding how insurance companies and defense counsel think and act. Brittany is able to bring this unique perspective to the table when advising her clients on how best to move forward in their fight for recovery for their personal injury claims.
Brittany is licensed to practice in Iowa’s State and Federal Courts, and she is a member of the Iowa Bar Association, Polk County Bar Association, and Iowa Association for Justice.
